Boy, was this family special. These boys loved their little sister so much it made me want to cry. Little Miss L was adopted from Ethiopia and couldn’t have landed in a more loving, nurturing, and FUN family.

Hi all (if there’s even anyone reading),
My life has been so crazy this last year, dealing with my cancer, the 3 kids, and a fledgling business. But things are good, REALLY! I have only 2 weeks left of radiation and then DONE – my hair is coming back and I’m so ready for warm weather so that we can get outside and start shooting! I have a major backlog of photos to post, but I’m going to start with a fairly recent winter shoot that we did with a super fun family.

Here are some shots of some very photogenic families…just a few of the many families we shot for our breast cancer fundraiser in May. All sitting fee donations went towards the 39 mile walk that Diana and I did in Boston.

I’m sure that’s the main question on the minds of all of Wonder Blog’s faithful readers…..all 3 of them! It’s been over 3 months since my last post and those of you who know me know why. If you don’t know me…I have a really good excuse. In May I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my world has been spinning ever since. BUT, things seem to be under control now…just the occasional inconvenience of chemotherapy. AND, we’ve done tons of photo shoots and I can’t wait to post them all here. I’m so backlogged on fun shots of adorable kids that they’re coming out of my ears. So…at some point I’ll write more about the cancer thing, but for now, stay tuned for photos, photos, photos…..and more photos!
Here are some shots from a session we did back in April. Very energetic kids and they were willing to do anything! FUN!!!! I love chasing kids around with my camera – it’s the best job in the world!
Yep…I know. I’ve been ignoring this blog in a BIG WAY! I have so many backlogged photos to edit that I dream about photoshop eating me alive……
SO much has been going on with Wonder Blink, but I’ll start where I left off: Two magazines with our photos in them have just come out. Check out Monadnock Living, where I did a portrait session with Chris Danforth, an environmental consultant. He is such a nice guy and we had a blast tromping through the woods with his dogs. He and his wife also booked a session with their 4 kids for later this month, so look out for a sneak peak!
ALSO…we were asked to shoot the cover for Parenting NH! The issue just came out. We had so much fun with adorable 3-year-old Colby, who is definitely a model in the making. He was so agreeable and game for all of our silly suggestions….a HUGE thank you to Lindsay, the editor of Parenting (who ROCKS), and has asked us to continue to shoot their covers!!! We’re so excited about this opportunity.

It finally warmed up a bit last weekend and we took a very long walk with the kids and my gorgeous nieces and nephews. It was so fun to take photos outside and not have to dodge the rain or freeze my tail off!
I am so excited about our Wonder Blink schedule this spring and summer and were are booking up pretty quickly!

Wonder Blink set up at a fantastic event last weekend in Milford NH. It was held at the Souhegan Valley Boys and Girls Club – an event that was all about women called Diva Day. Every vendor offered something great for women, from cosmetics and kid stuff, to health care and clothing. We met so many wonderful women in the community who were interested in having portraits of their family OR wanted to advertise our photos in their places of business!
Anyway, I also spent some money..and bought these GREAT new hats for my kids!! Gus’s was hand knit by Nadia. Check out her great stuff!!

In other news…I am honored to have just done a portrait shoot for the fabulous magazine Monadnock Living. This magazine ROCKS and I had such fun on the photo shoot……more later with sample shots! Goodnight for now..my lovely mother is visiting from MN and is giving Steve and I a night away tomorrow….I have to rest up so that I can wake up and micromanage my house and kids before we leave…………
